Happy birthday to us!

On Sunday 31st May 2026 we celebrated our first anniversary. As usual, we did it in style!

We invited Volunteers, regular customers and most importantly, shareholders to join us to celebrate a fantastic and very successful anniversary.

We unveiled the refurbished pub sign, so generously paid for by the family of Alma Goodyear who was the Landlord from 1925 – 1958.

We also gave everyone a drink ‘on the house’ as a thank you for your support.

Our kitchen served up delicious Mexican food. We even hosted a children’s birthday party at the same time. So that meant the garden was buzzing with children having fun in a safe and secure space whilst the grownups do what grownups do! 🍺🍷

How time flies but one year in, we have achieved everything that we could have hoped for and so much more. We’ve reopened an icon Village Pub, employed local staff, paid all of our bills ( including the VAT man!) and given Broughton a real pub to cherish as it always has been.
